LSD Trip is published by the team behind Dutch-Smart, a Dutch smartshop. Dutch-Smart sells the Dope or Nope LSD test, and the product links on this site go to that shop. When you buy through such a link, we earn from the sale. Dutch-Smart does not sell LSD, and neither does this site.
We say this up front because it matters for how you read the rest. People search for what an LSD trip is like, how long it lasts and what can go wrong. Many of the top results are written by addiction clinics, and much of the rest is unchecked forum talk. We wanted one calm place that follows a trip through the hours, with sources, and that is honest about the parts people do not expect: the length, the hard moments and the blotters that turn out not to be LSD.
How the information is put together
- Timing and effects come from controlled studies, mainly the Basel studies with healthy volunteers, and from public drug information such as DRUGSinfo (Trimbos Institute) and FRANK. Studies are linked where we use them.
- Figures on fake LSD come from the annual reports of DIMS, the Dutch drug checking service, and from forensic studies.
- The legal status is taken from the law texts themselves, with the date we checked them.
- The trip reports are composites: assembled from patterns that recur in published experience reports. Each one is labelled. We do not publish invented testimonials, names or reviews.
- We make no medical or health claims of any kind, and we give no dosage advice.
Every page shows when it was last updated. Laws and products change; if something here is out of date or wrong, Dutch-Smart's customer service can pass it on to us.
Why the test, and why dopeornopetest.com
The one product on this site is a reagent test, because the most useful thing to know before an LSD trip is whether the blotter carries LSD at all. We link to dopeornopetest.com, the official site of the Dope or Nope brand, because it explains how the test works and how to read the result.
